COR 4900 Sliding
Windows and doors play a vital role in the aesthetics and functionality of any home or commercial building. Fortunately, the Cor 4900 HI RPT sliding window offers a high quality and energy efficient solution to meet these needs. The COR 4900 sliding window from TermoExpress has become one of the most sought-after products on the market. Its technical features, such as thermal and acoustic insulation, are one of the reasons why customers choose it.
Technical Details:
Transmittance: Uw ≥ 1,2 (W/m²K)
Acoustic insulation: Rw up to 40 dB
Air permeability: Class 4
Water tightness: Class 7A
Wind resistance: Class C5
Sightlines: Frame 60, 70, 89, 120, 125, 130 mm, 126 / 145 mm 3 rails / 201 mm 4 rails, Sash 48 mm
Polyamide Strip Length: 34 mm
Glazing: Max. 36 mm, Min. 24 mm
Maximum sash dimensions: (W) 2200 mm, (H) 3000 mm
Maximum sash weight: 240 kg
Characteristics:
- Standard sliding system with hinged features. Offers great thermal and acoustic performance favoured by a glazing capacity of up to 36 mm and a thermal break zone of 34 mm. It has a interlock section of 35 mm and straight lines, allowing the sashes to cross over thanks to the integrated handle with multilock system.
- The COR 4900 HI RPT is a sliding window composed of 6063 aluminium alloy profiles and a T-5 heat treatment. The frame has a section of 70mm in two-rail or 126mm in three-rail, and the sash of 48mm. In addition, the aluminium profiles have an average thickness of 1.6 mm, which guarantees durability and strength.
- These profiles have a thermal break provided by 34 mm deep polyamide insulating rods, reinforced with 25% glass fibre. This results in a frame transmittance of 2.7 W/m2K, offering exceptional thermal performance.
Insulated Glazing.
Triple Glazing Package:
Triple glazing is produced similarly to double glazing but uses three sheets of glass, separated by two Warm Edge spacers. The total thickness of a triple glazing unit is typically 42 mm and is mainly installed in profiles with a minimum construction depth of 70 mm.
Standard / Premium configurations possible:
- 4S + 4F + 4Lowe + Ar + WE
- Neutral Glass SN 70/37 + 4F + 6 Lowe + Ar + WE
- 6mm SKN 176 II ESG, MCM + 4mm F + WE-N + Laminated 44.2 Lowe, MCM, Ar 90% + pressure valve
- 4.4.2Lowe + 4F + 4.4.2 Lowe + Ar + WE
Types of glass used in insulated glazing:
-
Float Glass (clear):
Produced by floating a continuous strip of glass using the “float” technology.
- Low-E Glass (low emissivity): A clear, transparent glass coated with a metal oxide film. This film allows light to pass through while reducing heat transfer, thus minimizing heat loss.
- Solar Control Glass (4 Season): A flat glass with a special transparent coating. It reflects long-wave infrared radiation and a large portion of solar energy.
- Reflective Glass: A monolithic, reflective glass obtained by vacuum deposition using magnetron technology (soft-coat, OFFLINE) or pyrolytic technology (hard-coat, ONLINE).
- Ornamental Glass: Features a textured surface, available in a wide range of patterns and colors.
- Tinted Glass: Created by adding metal oxides during the melting process, this glass absorbs a significant amount of solar energy, preventing excessive heat entry.
- Duplex Glass (anti-burglary / laminated): A laminated glass made by bonding two sheets of float, tinted, reflective, or ornamental glass with one or more layers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film. It is available in transparent, colored, or opaque options and is known for its rigidity, adhesion, and elasticity. In the event of impact, PVB films hold the glass fragments together.
- Tempered Glass: Treated through a special process to improve surface flexibility. When broken, it shatters into very small pieces, reducing the risk of injury.
Warm Edge Spacer:
Also known as the “warm spacer,” it is used to separate the glass panes in triple or double glazing. This spacer has a significantly lower linear thermal transfer compared to traditional aluminum spacers. Made of a thermoplastic composite material, the Warm Edge spacer is a poor thermal conductor, resulting in more efficient edge insulation.
